I would definately tell anyone who likes Amy or her music to purchase this. It even includes a documentary on Amy with interviews of herself her father, and others. (And no, she is not spaced out on drugs through this, maybe alittle tipsy, but not enough to impede her singing) Definately add this to your DVD library. For anyone who is an Amy Winehouse fan this is definately something you'll want to add to your collection. This live performance is outstanding, I absolutely loved every minute of it.
recommended lets ignore the fact that she is a mess of a human being.when it comes to art and music she is amazing. This is a hi-def version of the DVD already out in the US.and it of course looks better in hi-def but the big reason I ordered this UK import (which plays fine on my Sony player) is the bonus concert NOT included on the domestic DVD and it is worth it to me to pay a bit of a premium for the bonus content as well as the sonic and picture upgrade.
She MUMBLES the whole show, and even for a native it's really hard to make out any word she is saying. I don't know if she was completely drunk or drugged or both, but she can't pronounce any word properly, let alone sing. SAD. I love Amy Winehouse's music. However, in this particular show, she was totally out of this planet.
Very original and fresh. This is another great gift for anyone who loves great singers and songwriters.
Hopefully not what brought Billie down. Vocalization good, timing good, phrasing good, some slurs, which may be good or bad depending upon what caused them. Get her act while you can. I'm seventy years old, and been to a few jazz concerts. Met Duke Ellington, never saw Billie Holiday, but have the recordings, and Amy Winehouse is as good, maybe better, since she writes most of what she sings, and most of it is jazz, but don't tell the young folks.
